Features of PLA Antimicrobial 3D Filament:

  • Antimicrobial Properties: The most distinguishing feature of antimicrobial PLA filament is the addition of antimicrobial additives during the production process. These additives kill or inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and some viruses, making the material ideal for applications where hygiene is essential.
  • Biodegradable: Like traditional PLA (Polylactide), antimicrobial PLA is biodegradable and made from renewable resources such as corn starch. This makes it a more environmentally friendly choice compared to petroleum-based plastics.
