PLA - Antimicrobial Blue 3D Filament
Experience an enhanced 3D printer experience with the industry leading PLA Antimicrobial Filament from TM3D. Available in diameters 1.75mm or 2.85mm. On request for 1KG, 3KG, 5KG, and 10KG.
Features of PLA Antimicrobial 3D Filament:
- Antimicrobial Properties: The most distinctive feature of antimicrobial PLA filament is the addition of antimicrobial additives during the manufacturing process. These additives kill or inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, and some viruses, making the material ideal for applications where hygiene is essential.
- Biodegradable: Like traditional PLA (Polylactide), antimicrobial PLA is biodegradable and made from renewable sources such as corn starch. This makes it a more environmentally friendly choice compared to petroleum-based plastics.
- Good Printability: Antimicrobial PLA filament has excellent 3D printing properties, similar to those of standard PLA. It has a low shrinkage factor and does not warp easily, resulting in smooth and detailed prints without the need for a heated print bed.
- Safe for Food Contact: Depending on the specific antimicrobial additives used, antimicrobial PLA filament can be safe for food contact, making it ideal for producing kitchen utensils, containers, and other items that come into contact with food.
